The Mason family photography session

The Mason family photography session in Rouse Hill Regional Park sure was an energetic one. Diana, her 3 boys and little girl made it easy to get some great family pics. The biggest takeout of this photography session for me was how great these kids are. I was really impressed. A single mum… with 4 kids… all behaving! Teach me your ways Diana.
The boys were bouncing off the walls as you’d expect and little Makenna just cruised around doing her own thing, she sure isn’t going to have to worry with these 3 around (look out first boyfriend).
Zeek seemed wise beyond his years and I could see that he would be a great protector for his family.
Mal warned me that he doesn’t do smiling and my answer was ’challenge accepted!’ Obviously I won in the end.
Rex was awesome and just wanted to bash everything in sight – which works out great for my natural/chaotic style of photography! Plus, brownie points go to Rex for being the only person to ever compliment my shoes ?(They’re hiking shoes, which aren’t usually known for their stylish looks).
It turned out that Diana didn’t have to worry at all about the kids being too crazy as they were spot on for a Barley Monks family photography session ?

Almost 9 months

It’s been a long 9 months, I’ve learnt it’s ok to accept help from others. I’m stronger than I ever thought I was, I’m braver, and I have a determination to make every moment count, because life is way too short.

You can do it! Look after yourself first (I still struggle with this), you don’t have to be a superhero, we all have crappy days, make the next day better!

For me it’s not having the emotional support & backup.. and having that one person who loves the kids just as much as I do and being able to laugh together about the crazy things they do.

I’m still trying to figure that out. 🙁 But if I had to choose something, I get all the hugs.

Working with Nick was so easy. The boys just did what they do best and that’s explore and run-a-muck 🙂 and we didn’t have to stand still and pose. Highly recommend Nick for any family shoot, the kids won’t even notice they’re being photographed.
