Bicentennial Park, Glebe

Transcript

Hey everyone, it’s Nick here from Barley Monks Photography. I’m a family photographer in the Sydney area, more specifically in the Hills District area, and I’m reviewing family photography locations all around Sydney. This location here you’re looking at… I mean surely you know that bridge, it’s the Anzac bridge. We’re at Glebe’s Bicentennial Park in the city, which is a great spot. I really rate this place for family photography. You’ve got beautiful long pathways that are lined with Ficus Trees. The pathways are made from stone and some tar. You’ve also got these massive Magnolia trees here which are beautiful. The sun sets over here to my right which is great… also, I mean you’ve got the bridge here as well which is a great backdrop for any situation.

The kids will love it here as well. There’s plenty of play equipment. For the family photography it’s great – those footpaths are nice and long, and would just be perfect for the shots of the kids running down there, and also on the play equipment you get plenty of natural moments with them. There’s no forced smiles, because there’s just plenty of things for them to do here. Also you’ve got the water here as well, which is just another element to add to the photos, and when it’s magic hour in the afternoon, it’s just brilliant.

If you’re in the city and you’re anywhere in Sydney near Glebe, and you’re looking for some family photos… then this would be a great spot for them. There’s plenty of areas where you’ll get some great photos.
