Hey everyone, Nick here again from Barley Monks Photography… Your Hills District family photographer. And this is the second area of the Beaumont Hills location I was talking to you about in my last video. 

This spot is right at the end of the reserve. It’s the area where Phoenix Ave ends. There was supposed to be a road that ran through here on Pheonix Ave, but that hasn’t happened, and doesn’t look to be happening for a long time, so as a result I’m left with a great location for some family photos. 

I really like this spot, because it’s even lighting most of the day, it doesn’t really matter when you shoot here… you can shoot here anytime, and it looks beautiful. Also there’s a great track that runs through here that is fantastic for some shots of the kids running through and exploring the different areas in here with the trees and the shrubs.

It’s also great in the afternoons here as well, because you get some nice dappled light coming through the trees which looks great in the blurry background of the photos of your kids.

To get here you can come in off Windsor rd and turn in to Wilkins Ave and find your way to the end of Phoenix.

If you can’t book your session in the morning, or the afternoon and you have to shoot in the middle of the day, then this is a great spot because you get plenty of even lighting, as it’s all shaded here, and also in summer it’s cooler as well.
