July Single Mum Family Session

The Llamas Family Photography Session

It was great meeting Jessica and Rhylie for this month’s single mum family photography session. I can’t say Rhylie thought the same of me though. Most of the time she was looking at me as if to say get out of here! She definitely had her serious side out on show however one look at mum and there was that smile. Being able to walk around already meant we could let her be the boss and do her thing. Then I followed and tried not to make her cry 😉

With a birthday just around the corner I am glad I was able to get these photos of Hayley and Rhylie. Happy 1^st Birthday Rhylie!

How long have you been a single mum?

I have been a solo parent since baby Rhylie was only 10 weeks old (she is now 11months)

How has being a single mum changed you?

Being a single mum has changed me dramatically, it has taught me that life is so short and you cannot take it for granted! Your whole world can change in a matter of minutes. It has taught me to be strong, to be brave, to be super patient and to love.

What advice can you give to other women who are about to be single mothers?

Tomorrow is always a new day no matter how hard the current moment is or how hard today is. Tomorrow is a new day and you will get through it! Onwards and upwards, you are the world to your kids and no one can take that from you. You are amazing.

What is the hardest part?

The hardest part is not having that significant other to fall back on. It is hard being mum and dad the whole time and always wondering if you are enough!

What is the best part?

Waking up to my baby girl every morning, watching her grow and thrive. Thinking to myself “yep, I made that”

How did you find working with Nick and Barley Monks Photography?

Working with Nick was amazing! He was very patient with my super cranky 11 month old. A very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Nick and Barley Monks Photography has provided me with beautiful photos of my baby girl. Photos that I would never have got as I cannot afford it and for that I cannot be more thankful!
