Family Photography Locations Sydney

Hi everyone, it’s Nick here from Barley Monks Photography. I’m a family photographer in the Sydney area, and more specifically the Hills District area, and I’m doing a series of videos on the best family photography locations in Sydney. Today I’m at Lake Parramatta Reserve, and look at it – it’s amazing. It’s a really nice spot for family photos. You’ve got so many elements to get so much variation in the pictures you want, you’ve got the lake as your backing, as well as some beautiful rockery and stone features. You’ve got bridges and swimming areas, boardwalks and bush trails… a whole range of things, even a kids park here as well, so there are just countless areas here to get your family photos. It’s not too far from the Hills District, it’s about 20 minutes away. It’s a really nice, I think getting the kids to come through here you can just get some amazing photos of them. At this time of year when it’s Spring there’s some great Jacaranda trees that are dropping purple and red flowers everywhere, so you can get some really nice colourful shots with those. It’s really nice. The kids park is up in a corner area of the park, and it’s got some beautiful bush around it, so you’ve got a nice background there if you want to get the kids playing in the park. There’s this rockery here obviously in front of the water. The sun comes up here behind me, so if you want to get some morning shots… You could get some beautiful magic hour shots in the morning of the sun coming up and, so this is Lake Parramatta Reserve. To get here you come down Church St, and up a random St called Bourke St, and it just comes off there. There’s a big boulder out the front with a sign on it. There’s also a café here as well if you wanted to get breakfast, or lunch after your session.
